Smart homes are in disarray after daylight saving time baffles Google Nest devices (Update)

TL;DR
The end of daylight saving time in the US is wreaking havoc on some Nest Hub and Nest Learning Thermostats.
Users who live in areas that don’t observe daylight saving time say their clocks have moved back by one hour.
Due to the change, alarms, automations, and schedules are off by an hour.
Update: November 3, 2026 (4:07 PM ET): A Google spokesperson has provided the following statement to Android Authority:
Google is aware of an issue affecting a small subset of devices in some provinces in Canada where daylight savings is no longer observed. We apologize for any inconvenience and are actively working on a fix.
